What does it mean when three “木” come together? Well, it refers to “a place that trees grows thickly and fewer people live nearby.”

“小树林”, a place where stand dozens of trees, is a favored place among lovers to choose to meet privately. We can not call it “小森林”. For the phrase “森林” itself means thick trees and people may get lost when they walk inside, and it can not be defined by the the character “小”, which means “small”.
