I seldom wear q qipao in daily life, for I think it is a formal dress only suitable for some important occasions. Without a perfect accessories, women looks more like a fuwuyuan (waitress) in some hotel or restaurants. I had a qipao made for may wedding ceremony, despite it costing one month’s salary, and I knew it would be permanently put into the wardrobe after the big day. I was the happiest woman that day and the qipao showed me at my most beautiful.
